Tri-Star Protector Service was founded in 1989 to provide thread protectors and recovery/recycling services to the oilfield tubular industry. 
 
From humble beginnings, Tri-Star has grown to become the industry leader in the used thread protector market.  Tri-Star currently services a large segment of the oilfield tubular industry.  This market includes Oil and Gas Exploration companies, Pipe Supply Companies, Drilling Contractors, and various other oilfield tubular customers.
 
  
Tri-Star was established to service an ongoing need for a workable environmental and economical solution for the recovery and resale of thread protectors. 
 
Tri-Star was founded upon the fact that thread protectors are a very simple product that is designed and manufactured for repeated reuse.  Our priority has always been to design programs and provide services that add value through reuse thereby avoiding unnecessary cost during all phases of thread protector use.
 
Our success and growth can be attributed to the fact that we are not a thread protector manufacturing company.  We are, instead, a recycling company whose primary focus and mission is providing high quality reconditioned thread protectors and recovery services to the tubular industry.
